These are tough times for everyone. But for many charities, Coronavirus is tougher than ever.
Some have seen resources stretched with increased demand, while others have had to cancel the fundraising events that they rely on.
One survey, the Coronavirus Impact Study, revealed that as many as 43% of charities have seen an increase in demand for their services, while coping with a 48% decline in voluntary income.
It’s clear that if many charities are going to be able to continue doing their important work, they need as much help as possible. So, to help raise awareness and grow donations we have decided to support three local charities that are close to our hearts.
Here are the three charities we’re supporting.
The Trussel Trust are a network of foodbanks around the country. Unsurprisingly they’re seeing increased demand as more people are losing their jobs and relying on universal credit.
The Lullaby Trust support families that have suffered with Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). They provide advice and bereavement counselling services and have lost a number of grants and support since the Coronavirus pandemic took hold.
Rockinghorse are the fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Childrens Hospital in Brighton. They are desperately short of beds and have lost £50K of annual revenue since the start of the pandemic.
We are proud to play a small role in enabling these essential charities to continue their work, and encourage you to click on the links above to find out more about them.
